Glasgow Club Case Study
Glasgow Club at Kelvin Hall

Glasgow Club at Kelvin Hall

Originally opened in 1918, Kelvin Hall has undergone a £35 million redevelopment and was reopened on 22nd August 2016. Designed by Page Park Architects and delivered by McLaughlin and Harvey, the project is the result of a unique collaboration between Glasgow City Council, Glasgow Life, the University of Glasgow and the National Library of Scotland.

The Glasgow Club within Kelvin Hall hosts a state of the art Super Gym, an eight-court multipurpose sports hall, three dance studios and a gymnastics hall, making it one of the biggest indoor sports facilities anywhere in Scotland.

Page Park specified Prospec to supply and install the club with Prospec Marathon ‘Health Club’ lockers. Manufactured from a high density MFC locker body with solid grade laminate doors in striking colours from our wide collection, the lockers are integrated perfectly to the changing areas and corridors with a bespoke solid oak hardwood and toughened glass upstand.

Prospec Marathon lockers have been designed to be accessible to all users and incorporate contrasting coloured number plates with brail, along with a number of accessible lockers for wheelchair users. They were also provided with the state of the art RFID locking system. Compatible with Wellness System®, users can open and close the lockers using a proximity media card, bracelet or Wellness® key.
